So I talked and talked about my niece's pre wedding party which we call "Henna" party in many previous posts. In fact, I am delighted that I worked very closely to the bride, her mom and lovely sister to plan this all along....since November of last year...YES!!! It was that early but only because they don't live here in Jordan, they are in Canada and I needed to make sure that things are in order when they come just a month prior to the party. Now planning ahead is a thing I am always an advocate of.
However and with Darna's new release and the crazy lovely events this summer including the another Henna party for another lovely niece and a pre wedding dinner, plus more than 6-7 weddings this season, Ramadan, Eid and kids home....I slacked quite a bit from posting on the blog especially about this party. So in order to be fair to the party, I promise you that I will be sharing a very detailed 2 post series dedicated to the Henna party and how we planned it in addition to another cute post for my Haroon's birthday party at the Nursery (which took place few days prior the Henna)..I am telling you things were mad this summer...I am glad that I didn't lose it...
Another reason why I decided to postpone sharing the party planning series is the fact that we are a bit less than a week from Eid alAdha 2015...the greater Eid after Hajj...So I know that many of you are now working hard to prepare some goodies to serve their guests..fun stuff for the kids...so I will be reminding you of somethings I already have posted on this blog and here they are:
بسكوت البيكان
المقادير:
3/4 كوب بيكان محمص ومفروم خشن
1 1/4 كوب طحين
1/2 ملعقة صغيرة كربونات
1/4 ملعقة صغيرة ملح
1/2 ملعقة صغيرة نشا
115 غم زبدة
1/2 كوب سكر بني فاتح
1/4 كوب سكر عادي
بيضة
ملعقة فانيلا
سكر للتغطيس (اختياري) انا ما استعملته)
الطريقة:
تخلط المقادير الجافة
تخفق الزبدة ونوعي السكر جيدا لتصبح خفيفة القوام
تضاف البيضة والفانيلا
تضاف المواد الجافة وتخلط وتبرد في الثلاجة 3 ساعلت
تكور بالحجم المرغوب وتغطس بالسكر في حال الرغبة باستعماله وتصف بصينية الخبز بشكل متباعد 3 سم على الاقل فيما بينها
وتخبز على 350 او 17 مئوي من 12-14 دقيقى لتصبح ذهبية الحواف
ترفع من الفرن وتبرد 5 دقائق على الصينية ثم تنقل الى سلك معدني

However, I do have a huge list of requests for new things and cookies...one of which is a chewy pecan cookie that was a request from Mona...here it is...
Pecan cookies
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp corn startch
3/4 cup pecans, roughly chopped and toasted in the oven till fragrant, cooled
115 gram butter, room temp
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients.
Beat butter and sugars till creamy
Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
Add dry ingredients and mix
Refrigerate for 3 hours.
Make into balls (the size you like) and put on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper making sure to have at least 3 cm between them from all sides.
Bake at 350 or 175 for 12-14 minutes till edges are brown.
Take out of the oven and let them rest in the pan for 5 minutes.
Transfer to a cooling rack. Cool down and enjoy the chewy buttery inside.

طبعا بربرت كتير سابقا وحكيت عم حفلة الحنة اللي ساعدت بالتخطيط الها لبنت بنت حماي القمرة "لما" واللي بحبها من قلبي كاختي الصغيرة..بديش اقول بنتي...ههههه بس بيشرفني اكيد...الله يحميها...طبعا حكيت وحكيت وهاي وجه الضيف ...ما كتبت اشي...في صور كتير لسة بدها تزبيط والبوست عشان ما ينظلم لازم يكون على دفعتين لانه في بربرة كتير بخاف تزهقوا...فبعد العيد بتكون الامور رجعت الى مجاريها نسبيا ان شاء الله وكمان قلت خليني اخصص هالوقت الجاي لوصفات العيد ووصفات كمان للمدرسة...
